Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intermediate Care / Step Down Unit-3 East.

Hours / Shift :

Full-time, day shift, 7a - 7p

Education

Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)

Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (Preferred)

Students in the process of completing an accredited nursing program.

Certification / Licensure

Registered nursing License (Required)

Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License.

BLS required within 90 days of hire

Department / Position Overview :

The 3East - Intermediate Care Unit at SentaraVirginiaBeachGeneral enjoys a supportive team environment and nurse patient ratio including a unit based nurse educator, team coordinator and manager. The unit has an active Partnership council and is currently involved with the hospital Magnet redesignation journey. All new grad RNs receive a 10 to 12-week clinical preceptorship as well as enrollment in the Transition to Practice Program. If you are seeking a fast paced, team based care environment- 3East is the place for you! The patient population on this unit may include : sepsis, hemorrhage, stroke, cardiac, trauma, post op, substance withdrawal, diabetic ketoacidosis.
