Job Summary and Qualifications
As an RN in Pediatric Hematology Oncology, you will :
Assess and address the health status and needs of patients and their families, collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.Develop personalized nursing care plans based on comprehensive assessments.Implement care according to established nursing protocols and ensure safety and compliance.Educate patients and families on health maintenance, restoration, and management.Provide compassionate care to multiple patients, including those with complex needs.Document patient responses and outcomes to interventions diligently.Utilize critical thinking skills to enhance nursing practices and improve patient outcomes.Qualifications :
Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.BSN required within 24 months of hire if hired after 6 / 1 / 2012.Minimum of one year of experience in an acute care hospital within the last three years.Pediatrics experience is mandatory.Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license.Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or ARC.PALS certification required within 6 months of hire.APHON Pediatric Chemotherapy / Biotherapy Provider OR ONS Provider certification required within 6 months of hire.Experience in Stem Cell is preferred.CPHON certification preferred within 24 months of hire.Relevant experience in Pediatric Hematology Oncology is essential for this role.Medical City Dallas is known for its advanced medical facilities and exceptional patient care.
