Job descriptionAdminister prescribed radiation therapy treatments to patients in accordance with physician orders. Operate and monitor radiation therapy equipment to ensure accurate delivery of treatment. Assess and document patient responses to therapy, reporting any concerns to the oncology team. Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and oncology nurses to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Educate patients and families about radiation therapy procedures, side effects, and self-care strategies. Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and radiation protection standards. Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines. Support patient comfort and provide compassionate care throughout the treatment process. Current Radiation Therapist license in North Carolina (or eligibility to obtain). ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy required. Minimum of 2 years recent radiation therapy experience preferred. Strong technical skills in operating radiation therapy equipment. Excellent communication and patient care skills. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary oncology team.
