Must-Have :

• Previous charge experience preferred
• Patient ratio experience of 5-6

Description :

Med Surg Rehab RN - Acute Inpatient Rehab setting.

The position requires 2 years of experience.

First-time travelers accepted.

Floating required within skillset as needed.

Weekends required, 4-5 shifts per contract.

Patients receive 3 hours of therapy during the day (8-3).

Time management is necessary to get patients to appointments on time, as well as multitasking with medication administration and treatments.

The physical component includes assisting patients in and out of bed, to the bathroom, and into wheelchairs.

High falls risk population.

The unit accepts patients from all departments.

Skills required include administration of heparin drip, CAPD, tracheostomy, G-tube, and wound vac.

Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.

Patient diagnoses include CVA, neuro, orthopedic, spinal cord injury, and debility.

Special equipment includes ceiling lifts in all rooms, if needed.

Two supervisor references are required for submission.

No RTO is allowed in the first two weeks of the assignment.

No more than 7 days of RTO is preferred over the 13-week contract.

The manager may or may not conduct interviews.

Travelers must be comfortable with this arrangement.

Modules are completed pre-start and possibly during orientation, averaging 12 hours.
