The Speech-Language Pathologist plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive services which include screening and evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, and re-assessment. You will also be involved in discharge planning and documentation across various settings. Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct evaluation services by reviewing historical information, performing specific assessments, and documenting results. Engage patients and their families in goal setting based on your findings.
- Implement treatment protocols effectively based on evaluations and adapt them as needed to address patient changes and healthcare demands. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when necessary.
- Manage discharge planning and follow-up care accurately. Document patient care activities in a timely manner, maintaining detailed records including evaluations, plans, and progress summaries.
- Exhibit strong time management skills and meet productivity goals. Ensure a smooth patient access process through flexibility and a caring approach.
- Seek ongoing professional development through continuing education and serve as a clinical instructor and mentor to new staff and students.
Qualifications :
Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.Completion of clinical fellowship year (CFY).Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and / or Virginia as required for your location.American Speech Language Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence.This position offers a competitive hourly rate of USD $60.00.
