Job description

Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region, where you will play a vital role in supporting providers and ensuring smooth, efficient patient care. As a Medical Assistant, you will perform patient care duties within your licensed scope, assist with treatments and procedures, and help maintain a positive experience for all patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out provider orders accurately and promptly, facilitating patient flow and communication to minimize wait times.
  • Assist with treatments and procedures, ensuring all necessary consents are obtained and supplies are prepared.
  • Administer immunizations under provider supervision, adhering to state regulations and documentation requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records, including documenting patient complaints, vital signs, and exam preparations.
  • Coordinate referrals efficiently by communicating with referral coordinators and completing related tasks.
  • Perform daily room checks, stock exam rooms, manage sample medications, and uphold infection control standards.
  • Collaborate with environmental services to maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
  • Engage in teamwork, support new team members, and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited certified medical assistant program.
  • Licenses and Certifications

  • Current Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure as required by the state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Skills and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of medical assistant duties and patient care techniques.
  • Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and perform independent judgment in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and fostering collaborative relationships with healthcare providers and patients.
