Now Hiring : Facilities Fire Protection Engineer
Location : Tempe & Peoria, AZ (Onsite – Construction & Operations Support) - starts in both locations, and then will transition to Peoria, AZ
Employment Type : Full-time with 10% bonus
Work Authorization : Due to the nature of the projects, candidates must be US Citizens or Permanent Residents Only
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Facilities Fire Protection Engineer to support the design, construction, and operations of a large-scale, high-tech manufacturing facility. This role will lead efforts to ensure all fire alarm, fire protection, and hazardous gas monitoring systems are compliant, operational, and optimized to safeguard people and infrastructure.
What You’ll Do :
Lead fire protection efforts during construction and transition into operational support
Ensure compliance with NFPA, ICC, AHJ, and insurance requirements across all systems
Review and guide design documents and third-party vendor submissions
Operate and maintain fire alarm, suppression, and hazardous gas monitoring systems
Conduct system inspections, perform maintenance, and identify system malfunctions
Develop and lead fire drill plans and emergency response readiness
Create testing, commissioning, and maintenance documentation for fire protection systems
Interpret construction drawings, verify installation quality, and provide improvement recommendations
What You Bring :
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Associate’s with additional experience may be considered)
3+ years of experience in fire protection system design, operation, and compliance
Familiarity with detection, suppression, and life safety systems
Strong working knowledge of NFPA, ICC, and AHJ requirements
Ability to review design documents and oversee construction compliance
Proficient in Microsoft Office and technical drawing software
Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work on ladders, at elevation, and in confined spaces
Willingness to work overtime or respond to off-hours emergencies as needed
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience in high-tech, cleanroom, or industrial manufacturing environments
Familiarity with utility operations, energy efficiency initiatives, or environmental facility systems
Prior involvement in commissioning or facilities engineering projects
Trade certifications or licensing related to fire protection systems
