License : Current RN License

Certifications : BLS Certification, ACLS preferred

Description :

The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities.

The RN focuses on the prevention of illness and injury and the alleviation of suffering through diagnosis and treatment.

Advocacy in the care of individuals and families is a key responsibility.

The RN is accountable for compliance with all standards of practice and professional development.

This is in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, relevant policies, and the Code of Ethics for Nurses.

The RN aims to promote a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care.

The RN will assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care.

Managing a group of patients, the RN serves as a primary nurse and / or accountable nurse.

Consideration is given to safety, effectiveness, competency, cost, and overall impact.

Patient and family education in health promotion and disease management is essential.

The RN utilizes knowledge of pharmacology and safely administers medications.

Active participation in nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and policies is required.

Support of the Nursing Shared Governance Model is encouraged through participation in improvement initiatives.

The RN should engage in professional development and fulfill mandatory education requirements.

Integrating nursing research and current evidence into practice is necessary.

Providing a supportive learning environment for new employees and students is expected.

The RN will adhere to all organizational values and may perform other duties as assigned.
