Job Title : Senior SAP EWM Consultant - Application Management Support

Location : Chicago, IL (Hybrid : Onsite Tuesday-Thursday)

Duration : Long Term Contract

Position Overview :

Our client is seeking an experienced SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Consultant to join our Application Management Support (AMS) team.
The ideal candidate will have 12-15 years of SAP Supply Chain experience with deep expertise in SAP EWM and WM, hands-on support experience, and the ability to coordinate effectively with offshore delivery teams.
This role is based in Chicago, IL, with a hybrid schedule (onsite TuesdayThursday, remote Monday and Friday).
The consultant will be responsible for ensuring stable EWM operations, supporting business-critical warehouse functions, and driving continuous improvement across clients SAP landscape.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide Level 2 and Level 3 Application Management Support (AMS) for SAP EWM (embedded and decentralized environments).

Act as the primary onsite liaison for business users, IT, and offshore AMS teams.

Manage day-to-day incident resolution, service requests, enhancements, and problem management activities.

Coordinate and prioritize tickets, root-cause analysis, and change requests with offshore teams.

Collaborate with warehouse operations teams to troubleshoot integration and execution issues (Inbound, Outbound, Internal Movements, RF, HU Management, Wave, Labor Management, etc.).

Support EWMERP integration (MM, SD, TM) and handle system monitoring, queue management, and batch jobs.

Lead small change / enhancement projects and work closely with business stakeholders for requirement analysis and validation.

Drive process improvements through automation, reporting, and best-practice governance.

Maintain detailed documentation for configuration, incidents, and standard operating procedures.

Support testing, cutover, and deployment activities for release management.

Required Skills & Experience :

12-15 years of total SAP experience, with minimum 8+ years in SAP EWM (S / 4HANA preferred).

Strong hands-on experience in Inbound, Outbound, Internal Warehouse, Physical Inventory, HU Management, RF Framework, Wave Planning, and Yard Management.

Proficiency in integration areas (MM, SD, TM, PP, GTS, and IDoc / Queue handling).

Experience in support model coordinationmanaging offshore teams, ticket SLAs, and reporting metrics.

Familiarity with ServiceNow or Solution Manager for AMS tracking.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Experience with clients environment or similar life sciences / healthcare distribution industries is a plus.

Nice to Have :

Knowledge of WM to EWM migration processes.

Exposure to EWM automation, RF hardware (Zebra, Honeywell, etc.), and conveyor integration.

Understanding of transportation and logistics integration with SAP TM.

ITIL or SAP AMS delivery certification.
