American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist experienced in screening and diagnostic mammograms, with ARRT certification and the ability to work independently including rotation on mobile units.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a women's imaging center and mobile screening van environmentPerform screening and diagnostic mammograms, DEXA scans, and assist with invasive breast proceduresUtilize 2 Hologic 3D units and 1 GE Pristina 3D unit in the center, and a Hologic 3D unit on the mobile vanPatient volume averages 40-50 exams per day8-hour shifts with varied start times (6 : 30a-3p, 7a-3 : 30p, 7 : 30a-4p), mobile van hours may extend to 9-10 hours (6 : 45a-4p)Floating required between women’s center and mobile unit once or twice a weekNo on-call requiredAssist radiologists with invasive breast procedures while following aseptic techniqueEnsure accurate documentation and communication of patient clinical historyApply radiation protection principles for patient and staff safetyProvide patient education and discharge instructions for breast imaging proceduresContribute to departmental quality assessments and improvement initiativesEKG testing is required on the first day with two attempts to pass; study guides providedScrubs or dress code details not specifiedCandidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel assignmentLocal candidates are accepted\n \n Requirements\n
ARRT certification in Radiography (RT) and Mammography (M), and ODH license required if applicableBLS required; ACLS certification may be preferredMinimum of 1 year experience as a registered mammography technologist preferredExperience with quality control and stereotactic biopsy preferredAbility to work independently in both fixed site and mobile settingsAssociate's degree from an ARRT-accredited institute preferred\n Benefits\n
