Job descriptionWell-established General Surgery practice, located at an award-winning, independent hospital Picturesque riverfront community just outside of Evansville, IN, only 2 hours from both St. Louis MO & Louisville KY Recruitment is due to upcoming retirement Bread and butter General Surgery with scopes - nicely varied / case mix Working out of 2 ORs at a time (i.e. swing rooms) is the norm here 1 : 1 dedicated APP support Highly competent OR team : great relationship w Anesthesia and well-tenured techs & nurses, Minimal call, 1 : 4. Taken primarily by phone - no trauma designation. Generous 1 hour return-to-facility Option for robotics 1-2 days / mo. Epic EMR The best of both worlds : all the autonomy and flexibility you could want, as well as built-in opportunities for collaboration with 15+ other General Surgeons (regional peers, not competitors) Picturesque Southern Illinois community - beautiful lakes, rivers, and rolling hills - just 40 min from Evansville, IN, an area home to 300K+ people Enviably low cost of living - 25% lower than the national average Louisville KY & St. Louis MO are only 2 hours away; Indianapolis IN, 2.5 hours Enjoy the best of both "suburb" & "small town" - easy access to metro amenities and entertainment, but it's also so safe here that kids still play down the street and grownups don't have to worry.
