Tools & Equipment Technical Sales Specialist
Job Summary
The Tools and Equipment Technical Sales Specialist is responsible for generating and increasing Tools and Equipment sales through NAPA stores and the end user accounts they service. This customer facing role focuses on coordinating and implementing market share-driving products and programs as the street level within a defined sales territory.

Responsibilities
Customer relationship responsibilitiesProblem solving by identifying and addressing customer concerns through discovery and a methodical approachEffectively convey product informationEffectively manage time within assigned territory and setting sales priorities based on product knowledge and customer relationshipsDemonstrate passion for the product, industry, and the sales processFlexibility in processes being able to adjust your approach based on customer preference and market conditionsMaintain strong relationships and consistent communication to promote product and servicesWork closely with store decision makers to expand business volume by identifying and converting sales opportunitiesIdentify customer needs and collaborate with local store and distribution center teams to provide solutions to those needsCoordinate with NAPA T & E account support specialists for order entry, tracking, confirmation of purchase orders, and billings adjustmentsLeverage team knowledge of peers and suppliers to advance personal knowledgeIdentify areas of opportunity and advise management accordinglyMaintain and advance understanding of product offerings, education, programs, warranties, and rebatesCommunicate regularly with managers, vendors, and colleagues with pertinent information regarding sales, service, or challengesPerform periodic account reviews to update management on key progress indicatorsAny other duties assigned by director supervisorQualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are preferredSales management experience, preferably within the automotive aftermarket or tools and equipment industryProven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goalsStrong leadership skillsExcellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skillsAbility to think strategically and execute tactically in a fast-paced environmentProficient with CRM and sales analytics toolsPreferred Qualifications
Advanced degrees or professional certifications related to sales or managementExperience managing geographically dispersed sales teamsDeep knowledge of automotive tools and equipment marketLeadership

Typical workday conducted in office and customer site environments.Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.Be able to sit or stand for up to 9 hours / day.Exposed to vibrations and dust, with noise level at moderate to low decibels.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.We offer a competitive starting salary of $65,000.00 for this position. Please note that total compensation may vary based on individual skills, experience, and qualifications.
