About Us
Harbor Chevrolet is a high-volume customer-focused dealership serving Long Beach and the surrounding communities. We are growing and seeking an experienced General Sales Manager to lead our new used and internet sales operations. We are only considering candidates with proven GSM or Sales Manager automotive experience .
Position Summary
The General Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales performance coaching the management team overseeing daily operations and ensuring a consistent professional customer experience. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong desking process management and team-building skills.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the new used and internet sales departments
Recruit train develop and hold accountable all sales managers and sales consultants
Drive volume gross profit and F&I performance
Monitor CRM usage internet lead handling appointment setting and follow-up processes
Oversee inventory management pricing strategy and merchandising
Support daily sales meetings and ongoing team training
Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction and compliance
Collaborate with GM BDC Service and Parts to achieve total-store goals
Required Experience (Non-Negotiable)
Must have Automotive General Sales Manager or Sales Manager experience
(Candidates without this background will not be considered.)
Strong leadership and coaching ability
Proficiency with CRM tools (VinSolutions preferred)
Skilled in desking appraising trades and managing internet performance
Proven track record of achieving volume and gross objectives
