Salary :

Felix Construction Company, a top self-performing water / wastewater contractor in the Valley, is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic . This role will make repairs to a wide variety of heavy equipment. This position will report to the shop to do repairs including some field repairs as needed. The position is 40 hours a week with occasional overtime when needed. Help us build what matters!

What You'll Be Doing

  • Repair equipment including but not limited to backhoes, loaders, excavators, CDL trucks, and lifts
  • Diagnose and repair electrical problems
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems
  • Operate and test equipment after repairs
  • Follow and complete equipment inspection forms
  • Must adhere to company and job site safety requirements
  • Be responsible for the upkeep of company work trucks when driving one

Who You Are

  • 3+ years of experience as a mechanic required
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., work at extreme temperatures and stand for several hours per shift
  • Welding experience is a plus (training provided for the right candidate)
  • CAT ET software knowledge a plus
  • CDL a plus (training could be provided for the right candidate)
  • Have ability to use GPS and cell phone technology to locate job sites, use company email and other applications
  • Well organized, good communicator

  • Must have a valid drivers license with good driving record
  • Have the legal right to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship
  • Maintain a yearly medical exam
  • Be on time and ready to work every day
