Our client, a well-established CPA firm located West of Boston is seeking a Tax Para-Professional to support their growing practice. This hybrid position blends tax administration, bookkeeping, and client service coordination, offering the opportunity to work directly with CPAs and tax specialists in a highly collaborative setting.
This is a full-time, hybrid role that offers $65,000 – $75,000 base salary, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
Manage client tax data within a paperless workflow system, ensuring accuracy and organization.
Coordinate document flow, e-signatures, and client communications using SafeSend and other secure portals.
Assist in compiling, reviewing, and finalizing individual and business tax return packages for client delivery.
Maintain up-to-date client files, monitor compliance deadlines, and follow up on outstanding materials.
Provide daily administrative assistance to partners and preparers, including scheduling, document management, and client correspondence.
Handle bookkeeping and reconciliation activities in QuickBooks (both desktop and online versions).
Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and basic financial statements as needed.
Serve as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring timely and professional communication.
Assist with client onboarding, engagement letters, and ongoing relationship management.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or tax administrative support (public accounting experience preferred).
Proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Adobe Acrobat.
Familiarity with SafeSend or similar e-signature / document management platforms is a plus.
Strong communication skills and a polished, client-service-oriented demeanor.
