The Senior Procurement Specialist will support the sourcing and management of suppliers and contractors for data center construction projects. This role is ideal for a procurement professional with a solid foundation who is ready to take on greater responsibility and deepen their expertise in construction-related sourcing. The position requires strong attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams - including project management, legal, and finance - to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services. Familiarity with procurement and contract management tools such as Coupa, Agiloft, and Smartsheet is beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Support
Manage end-to-end procurement activities for construction projects, with a focus on contract management.
Prepare bid packages, run RFQs, evaluate proposals, and coordinate supplier selections.
Create and manage Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs) in line with project scope and financial controls.
Amend or update POs and contracts to reflect changes in project scope, budget, or timelines.
Vendor Management
Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and contractors.
Support performance reviews and help resolve commercial or delivery-related issues.
Assist in onboarding new suppliers, ensuring all required documents, qualifications and compliance checks are in place.
Contract Coordination
Work with project and legal teams to review key commercial terms.
Ensure contracts align with company standards, project requirements and compliance policies.
Cost, Risk, and Financial Coordination
Support cost analysis, budget tracking and supplier risk assessments to identify savings and mitigate risks.
Work with finance teams to ensure accurate cost allocation, budget alignment and timely invoice processing.
Cross-Team Collaboration
Partner with project managers, engineers, legal and finance teams to ensure smooth procurement workflows and alignment with project timelines.
Facilitate clear communication and proactive issue resolution across departments.
Reporting and Documentation
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of POs, supplier communications and procurement activities using Coupa, Agiloft, and Smartsheet.
Provide regular updates on procurement status to internal and external teams.
Continuous Learning
Stay current on market trends, supplier developments, and best practices in construction procurement to drive improvement and efficiency.
Additional Qualifications / Responsibilities
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Construction Management or a related field.
Approximately 3-5 years of experience in procurement, ideally within construction, engineering or infrastructure projects (strong asset).
Solid understanding of procurement processes, supplier management and basic contract principles (e.g., FIDIC).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with procurement tools (e.g., Coupa, Agiloft, Smartsheet).
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to construction contract types (e.g., general contractors, consultancy services or equipment suppliers).
Experience supporting large-scale or international projects.
Interest in sustainability and compliance practices within procurement.
The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are :
United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 80,000 - 120,000 USD / Annual
Canada - Toronto Office TRO : 76,000 - 114,000 CAD / Annual
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and / or training.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
