Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Director of Government and Defence Programs based in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region to lead our efforts in this dynamic sector. The role involves developing strategic relationships with government entities, leading market capture initiatives, and supporting regional growth in the government and defense segments.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the government sector to increase market share and revenue in APAC.
- Lead capture teams to connect with industry partners, government agencies, and ecosystem players for large APAC opportunities.
- Manage and coordinate large program opportunities from identification to deployment.
- Support regional account managers and partners by providing expertise and strategic guidance.
Stakeholder Management
Develop and maintain productive relationships with government authorities, ministries of defense, and industry groups.Organize and host meetings with government and defense end-users and ecosystem stakeholders.Participate in industry associations to influence standards and policies.Strategy
Develop high-level market access and growth strategies aligned with corporate goals.Provide comprehensive market insights and advocate for the company's role in the satellite industry.Guide product and solution development based on market needs.Communication & Policy
Collaborate with marketing to craft tailored value propositions and campaigns.Draft official communications, position papers, and policy positions.Participate in government meetings and policy discussions.Qualifications
5-8+ years of experience in space technology and government relations.Deep knowledge of APAC space programs, policies, and security environment, with a strong network in the region.Excellent communication skills, including policy advocacy and stakeholder engagement.Multilingual abilities, with English as a minimum; additional languages are a plus.Additional Details
