Job description

LocumJobsOnline is working with Wellhart, LLC to find a qualified General Surgery MD in Delta, Colorado, 81416!

About The Position

We are seeking a General Surgeon for a 7-day locum tenens assignment in Colorado, starting Dec 22, 2025. This opportunity involves providing 24-hour ER call coverage with shifts running from 7a to 7a. The role is ideal for surgeons with experience in emergency general surgery cases seeking a dynamic, short-term engagement.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide 24-hour emergency call coverage for general surgery cases
  • Respond to surgical emergencies in the ER
  • Perform general surgical procedures as required
  • Collaborate with emergency department staff for optimal patient outcomes
  • Ensure timely documentation and communication with the care team

    • Additional Information

  • Active Colorado medical license required
  • Board certification in General Surgery required
  • Membership with the American College of Surgeons (ACS) required
  • Previous experience with ER call preferred
