General Function
The Systems Administrator I will provide entry-level system support including, planning, deploying, troubleshooting and maintenance in all aspects of the infrastructure environment. The Systems Administrator I will be required to perform entry level to mid-level technical and administrative tasks. This candidate will be performing duties within the scope of Central Piedmont’s policy and procedures.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensuring the security and efficiency of IT infrastructure
- Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues
- Collecting and analyzing data to forecast infrastructure system needs before issues arise
- Identifying issues and implementing plans for remediation before the issues negatively impact the business.
- Performing Active Directory Administration tasks
- Performing Software Updates (Windows and other 3rd party software)
- Installing and configuring software and hardware on physical and virtual systems
- The ability to read and write instructions, see, hear, operate a computer, comprehend, and then carry out directives when instructed
- Ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the position
- The ability to work on-site
- Predictable, reliable, and prompt attendance
- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
Associate Degree in IT or related field or higherAt least 2 years of experience in the Information Technology fieldIndustry certifications that demonstrate proficiency with Enterprise I.T. Infrastructure such as Cisco, Microsoft, CompTIA, etc.Certifications relevant to the items in Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics are preferred.ITIL Foundation certification is required (or should be obtained within 9 months of appointment).REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Salary for this position is $47,817 - $74,118. Pay grade for this position is L. Initial placement for new employees is customarily at entry level through 25% percentile. Contract type is Professional. Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include off-shift hours, evening and weekend assignments may be required of any position. All positions are subject to budget approval.
