Logistics Coordinator

Job Description :

This position is responsible for overseeing UPS Small Package dispatch activity to ensure timely and proficient service.

He / she assists with dispatch planning and is accountable for ensuring service, safety, and cost goals are met.

Coordinates with others to ensure dispatch plans are executed efficiently and ensure adequate staffing and equipment levels for transportation needs.

Reviews, analyzes, and tracks various dispatch and service reports and schedules to create efficient dispatch plans, verify service levels, address performance issues, and incorporate modifications.

Oversees yard operations and is involved with coordinating drivers with load volume, ensuring trailers are in the correct locations and are loaded or empty as planned.

Responsibilities :

• Monitors driver hours to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conducts hazardous materials audits to guarantee a secure work environment.
• Reviews safety reports to identify areas of improvement.
• Verifies appropriate driver uniforms and utilization of safe work methods to maintain a positive company image.
• Determines employee training needs to produce continuous development plans.
• Conducts performance evaluations and resolves individual and group performance issues.
