About The Position We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Medicine Physician for a locum tenens assignment in Virginia starting Dec 1, 2025. This opportunity offers three 8-hour day shifts per week, Monday through Wednesday preferred, providing care across pediatrics, adults, and uncomplicated psychiatric cases in an outpatient setting. Job Details Location : Virginia Start Date : Dec 1, 2025 Provider Type Needed : Family Practice Physician Schedule : 3x 8 hour shifts weekly; 8 : 30a-5p Mon-Wed (preferred), flexibility based on provider availability Responsibilities and Duties Provide newborn care for infants over 2000 grams Deliver general outpatient care for pediatric and adult patients Perform required gynecology procedures including pelvic exams and Pap smears (not required but helpful) Conduct minor surgical procedures such as suturing of minor lacerations and incision and drainage (I & D) Manage uncomplicated adult psychiatric cases with support from on-site behavioral health provider Additional Information Active Virginia medical license required at time of submission Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine required Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
