Asa state-designated acute care children's hospital, our dedicated team ofboard-certified pediatric cardiologists, cardiac nurse practitioners, andcardiac technologists provides comprehensive cardiovascular services for neonates, children, and young adults with congenital and acquired heart disease,arrhythmias, and electrical disorders.
We treat : Congenital heart defects, heartmurmurs, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, rheumatic fever, Kawasakidisease, cardiomyopathies, and valvular disorders. OurPediatric Cardiac Center provides consultative services throughout thehospital, including our renowned Level IV NICU, PICU, and Pediatric EmergencyDepartment. We coordinate advanced cardiology and cardiothoracic surgicalservices.

Key Responsibilities :
Diagnose and manage congenital and acquired heart diseases in patients from neonatal period through young adulthoodPerform and interpret echocardiograms, EKGs, stress tests, Holter monitors, and fetal echocardiogramsCoordinate diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations as appropriateProvide inpatient consultations across NICU, PICU, medical / surgical units, and Emergency DepartmentManage outpatient cardiology clinic for chronic cardiac conditionsCoordinate care with pediatric cardiac surgeons and subspecialistsParticipate in fetal cardiology program with prenatal consultationsCounsel families about diagnoses, treatment options, and long-term managementCollaborate with multidisciplinary cardiac teamParticipate in quality improvement initiativesWhat We Offer :

Successful completion of an appropriate ACGME or AOA accredited residency and / or fellowship.Board certification or eligibility from the appropriate specialty or subspecialty board.Must qualify for Saint Peter's University Hospital Liability insuranceMD or DO licensed or eligible for licensure in New JerseyCDS and DEA licensed or eligible for licensurePreferred : BLS, ACLS, PALS certification; advanced echocardiography experience; Interest in fetal cardiology, interventional procedures, or electrophysiologyFull-time compensation at Saint Peter's Healthcare System ranges from $175,000 - $750,000, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, years of experience, academic and administrative appointment, and pre-established metrics on productivity / patient engagement / quality.
