The Medical Assistant is essential during the patient visit, accompanying the dermatologist in the room and promoting a friendly and efficient environment for patients, staff, and dermatologists.

Essential Functions:
Rooming patients and documents all vital information
Scribing information for the dermatologist
Providing post op wound care to patients
Drawing blood and suture removal
Cleaning and stocking the exam rooms
Scheduling patient appointments
Assisting the dermatologist with procedures such as:
Surgical photographs
Biopsies punch, DIF and shave
Excisions
Electrodessication and curettage
I&D
Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgery
Phototherapy
Injections
Koh preps
Trichograms
Tzank preps
Dermabrasion
Patch testing
Blue light
Post High School education in a medical support field: Certified Medical Assistant, DERM Tech
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
For this position, the base pay range is $19.00 - $21.00 per hour. Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education, certification, or training.
