About The Position

Job Title : Operating Room Registered Nurse

Profession : RN (Registered Nurse)

Shift : Days

Hours per Shift : 8 hours per day, 5 days per week

Experience : Minimum of 3 years of Operating Room experience

License : Required

Certifications : BLS, ACLS recommended

Must-Have :

Strong Orthopedic background

Some Endoscopy experience

Previous travel experience

Scrubbing required

Description :

The role involves working in the Operating Room

The department consists of 4 suites and 1 endoscopy suite

The average number of cases per day is 8

Common cases include Orthopedic total joints, sports medicine, hands and trauma, General, Gynecological, C-sections, and Endoscopy

OR team members are required to help clean and turnover the ORs along with the orderly team

Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system used is Epic

Call requirements involve being within 30 minutes of the facility while on-call

Weeknight call typically occurs 4 nights per month

A full weekend is required approximately once a month

Holiday call may be assigned if it falls during the contract period

There is a dedicated preceptor for unit-specific orientation

The dress code includes blue scrubs, which are provided per surgical services attire policy

Team members may also require some SPD and HLD experience
