Job Title : Test Technician (NETA Level II)
EarthStream Global are currently looking to speak with Test Technician (NETA Level II) . This role involves the safe and efficient installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical power distribution equipment. Working under the guidance of a Level III or IV Certified Technician, you will handle routine to moderately complex tasks, maintain detailed records, and prepare field service reports.
Key Responsibilities :
- Travel to client locations to inspect, test, troubleshoot, and start up electrical systems while collecting relevant data.
- Test and commission protection and control systems for high-voltage substations.
- Maintain, test, repair, rebuild, and replace low, medium, and high-voltage switchgear and circuit breakers.
- Troubleshoot automatic transfer switches.
- Inspect and test low, medium, and high-voltage cable installations.
- Maintain, test, and repair transformers and associated equipment.
- Calibrate and test both solid-state and electro-mechanical relays.
- Conduct relay calibration and power metering activities.
- Perform testing on low and medium-voltage motor control centers and contactors.
- Start up, troubleshoot, and repair generator controls and transfer systems.
- Complete job hazard analyses, including arc-flash and shock assessments.
- Conduct investigations, testing, and evaluations within defined scope.
- Document all test results and generate comprehensive field service reports.
- Participate in a rotating emergency on-call schedule.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols.
Qualifications and Experience :
Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical testing.Current certification as NETA Level II (or NICET equivalent).Proven ability to work independently or as part of a team.Experience leading small teams or managing medium-scale, multi-week projects.Familiarity with NETA Acceptance and Maintenance Testing Standards.Strong knowledge of NFPA 70E Electrical Safety standards.Expertise in troubleshooting electrical performance issues, such as ground faults.Knowledge of lockout / tagout and hazardous energy control procedures.Ability to travel as required.Clean driving record.
