Summary Of Position

The Foam-Laid (FL) Sr Electrical Engineer role will provide leadership and creativity in the design, development, optimization, problem solving, and operation of the Mobile Foam Laid asset & supporting processes in a manner that meets safety and operational performance expectations. This position will focus on starting up a new-to-the-world process, driving continuous improvement, reducing obsolescence, and improving reliability for the assets they support.

In This Role, You Will

  • Lead the Electrical work to ensure that the FL01 project delivers against startup and material delivery goals.
  • Develop and deliver equipment and processes that meet safety requirements, policies, and guidelines. Provides for the safety and well-being of operators, maintenance, and other personnel.
  • Lead asset improvement projects from inception by specifying, selecting, procuring, installing, checking-out, and starting-up associated equipment.
  • Manage multiple medium-to-large initiatives to deliver improvements to asset performance or mill systems; lead major initiatives for breakthrough improvements, solving higher level problems for the plant.
  • Develop knowledge and skills in leadership of the application of engineering principles, scientific analysis, LEAN principles, and project management.
  • Seeks, recognizes, defines, and solves complex technical issues to root cause to achieve objectives.
  • Participates in the development of others within the area of the incumbent's expertise, including the creation of knowledge transfer documentation materials.
  • Partner with maintenance on reliability projects requiring electrical support.
  • Assist in developing and managing strategic obsolescence replacement plan.
  • Assist team with trial planning and trial preparation.
  • Support assets using engineering knowledge, including being on-call and potential shift coverage.
  • Provide input to capital teams so proposed changes are in-line with the 5-year vision. Involved with early design, technology, equipment selection, sizing, location, etc. Oversight and support during installation and commissioning.

Qualifications

In one of our Engineering roles, you'll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center. To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications :

  • Requires a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 8+ years industrial experience in a variety of electrically technical or operational assignments in a high-speed consumer product manufacturing and / or staff environment.
  • A demonstrated ability to perform in cross-functional teams to achieve objectives within required timeframes.
  • Experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers); variable speed motor drives; HMI (Human Machine Interfaces) distributed control systems; instrumentation; and power distribution.

    This is a P3 / Grade 9 and compensation may vary based on location. This role will require travel to Neenah, WI for 1 week per month for 6-9 months ahead of installation. Salary Range : 105,740 – 130,620 USD. Primary Location : Mobile Mill. Employee full-time role. Regular worker type.
