This position works in Big Sky, Montana!\nPosition Summary : \nThe Registered Nurse works in a collaborative and cooperative relationship with other members of the health care team, plans and implements patient and family education and is responsible for assessing the needs and initiating appropriate intervention for patients.\nMinimum Qualifications : \nRequired\n\nCurrent Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse)\nAmerican Heart Association BLS\nAmerican Heart Association ACLS\nNational Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification\nAmerican Heart Association PALS or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course certification\nCompetence in and a willingness and ability to practice modified primary nursing\n1 year emergency nursing or critical care experience\n\n\nPreferred\n\nBachelors Degree in Nursing\n\n\nEssential Job Functions : \nIn addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.\n\nCollects Comprehensive data pertinent to the patients health or the situation (Assessment)\nAnalyzes the assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues (Diagnosis)\nIdentifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or the situation\nDevelops a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes (Plan of Care)\nImplements the identified plan of care\nEmploys strategies to promote health and a safe environment\nSystematically enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice\nAttains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practice\nEvaluates ones own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines, relevant statutes, rules and regulations\nInteracts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues\nCollaborates with patient, family and others in the conduct of nursing practice\nIntegrates ethical provisions in all areas of practice\nIntegrates research findings into practice\nProvides leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession\nStroke Competency : \nComplies with hospital policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines related to care for patients with hyper acute and acute stroke\nParticipates in four hours annually of stoke education\n6 hours of verifiable trauma-related education annually (State Trauma Program requirement)\n\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\n\nDemonstrates sound judgement, patience, and maintains a professional demeanor at all times\nAbility to work in a busy and stressful environment\nCreativity, problem analysis and decision making\nAbility to work varied shifts\nExercises tact, discretion, sensitivity and maintains confidentiality\nSelf -directed, completes assignments accurately, thoroughly and with minimal oversight\nStrong emotional intelligence, interpersonal and teamwork skills\n\nSchedule Requirements\n\nThis role requires regular and sustained attendance.\nThe position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.\nOn-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.\n\nPhysical Requirements\n\nLifting (Repeatedly 50 pounds) : Exerting force occasionally and / or using a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects or people.\nSit (Occasionally) : Maintaining a sitting posture for extended periods may include adjusting body position to prevent discomfort or strain.\nStand (Repeatedly) : Maintaining a standing posture for extended periods may include adjusting body position to prevent discomfort or strain.\nWalk (Repeatedly) : Walking and moving around within the work area requires good balance and coordination.\nClimb (Rarely) : Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like using feet and legs; Radiation in settings where medical imaging procedures are performed. Various chemicals and medications are used in healthcare settings. Job tasks may involve handling cleaning products, disinfectants, and other substances. Infectious diseases are caused by contact with patients in areas that may have contagious illnesses. Catalytic Solutions Job ID #4-292098. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
