Accounting Associate

Our client, a dynamic organization in the manufacturing industry, is seeking an Accounting Associate to join their team. As an Accounting Associate, you will be part of the finance department supporting various teams.

Location : Dyer, IN

Pay Range : $30 per hour

Shift : 8am-4pm

What's the Job?

Own and maintain the accounts payable and receivable process and assist with month-end close.
Create reports on financial performance : daily sales & cash
Meet all deadlines with complete and accurate work - set appropriate priorities to achieve all deadlines.
Review and analyze received but unmatched purchase orders in Plex via AP supplier invoices screen or general ledger screen.
Assist accounting manager with month-end close process as assigned.
Enter journal entries- weekly cash reconciliation
Reconcile monthly bank account reconciliation - ensure cash ties
Monthly prepaid account reconciliation
Assist with monthly results package and variance analysis

What's Needed?

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a business-related field required.

Experience with purchase orders - 3-way matching.

Ability to double-check work, ensuring data entry is accurate (numbers, debit / credit, dates).

Proficient in maintaining organized records for accounts payable.

Experience in posting customer payments timely and accurately.
