Performs the duties and responsibilities of a security officer 1 position which includes providing a safe and secure environment for hospital patients, visitors, and employees. Required to interface with visitors, staff, physicians, patients and family members. Additionally this position fills the supervisor responsibilities when that position is off.

Required :

• One (1) year experience with hospital security / safety, fire, police, military police, ambulance / emt, or similar occupation. One (1) college may be substituted for experience.
• Must demonstrate complete knowledge and application of security, safety, or law enforcement techniques and procedures.
• Must possess excellent public relation / customer service skills, and good written and oral communication skills.
• Must either possess International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Basic Certification or successfully complete the
