Primary Location : 1100 Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78701 Position Type : Full-Time evening position M-F, 4pm-12 : 30am, and subject to change during session. Schedules may vary depending on business needs. Hiring Rate : $3,400.00 / monthly Salary Plan : A-12 Job Class (Code) : Custodian IV (8009) Organizational Overview : The State Preservation Board (SPB) was established for the purpose of preserving, maintaining, and restoring the State Capitol and the 1857 General Land Office, which houses the Capitol Visitors Center. Since that time, Agency operations have expanded to include care of the Governor's Mansion, operating the Bullock Texas State History Museum, Texas State Cemetery, Capitol Mall and three Capitol Complex legislative office buildings. We provide educational programs centered on Texas history, government and culture. These services benefit the citizens of Texas and its visitors. Position Summary : This position reports to the Housekeeping Supervisor with additional oversight from the Housekeeping and Grounds Manager. This position performs advanced (senior-level) custodial work, under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. The Custodian IV will serves as a team lead and will assist the Housekeeping Supervisor with administrative tasks including assigning work, completing purchase orders, estimating materials and supplies for projects, and scheduling and training staff. Daily duties include providing excellent customer service and ensuring the highest cleanliness standards are met. Custodians are responsible for general cleaning and upkeep of buildings, offices, restrooms and other assigned areas.
