Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and EPIC proficiency for a day shift position in a high-volume invasive cardiology setting.

Responsibilities

  • Work within a hospital invasive cardiology unit featuring 4 cardiac cath labs and 2 electrophysiology labs
  • Unit includes 23 prep and recovery bays and completes over 6,000 procedures annually
  • Cases include complex coronary interventions, VAD / ECMO support, TAVR, left atrial appendage occlusion, PFO / ASD closure, mitral valve clipping, complex ablations, pacemaker / ICD procedures, cardioversion, pulmonary artery interventions, and more
  • 4x10 hour day shifts scheduled between 6 : 00 AM and 7 : 00 PM
  • Weekend shifts are required as needed
  • Call may be required, though not on holidays
  • Floating is required as needed within scope of practice
  • Must stay until the last patient is cared for each day
  • EPIC EMR experience is required
  • Role involves caring for patients undergoing a wide range of invasive cardiology and electrophysiology procedures
  • May care for patients with COVID-19
  • Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
  • No call required on holidays
  • Team utilizes a multidisciplinary approach in a fast-paced diagnostic and interventional environment
  • Appropriate attire and adherence to departmental dress code is required
  • Pairs are permitted but matched schedules are not guaranteed

    • Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years Cath Lab / EP experience required
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications from AHA or ARC required
  • Proficiency with EPIC charting system is required
  • Ability to care for patients undergoing advanced cardiovascular procedures including VAD / ECMO, TAVR, and electrophysiology interventions
  • Compliance with pre-employment modules, typically 5-6 hours and completed pre-start
  • Submission of two professional references from supervisors within the past 2 years required
  • Complete 7-year work history with explanations for any gaps required
  • Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed during contract term
  • Must meet local radius requirements; local candidates (within 50 miles) will be offered a reduced rate
