Job Overview :

The Paramedic Student Intern renders advanced life support to sick, disabled, or injured individuals based on signs, symptoms, or complaints, prior to the individual's hospitalization or while transporting the individual between health care facilities under the direct supervision of program faculty and / or approved preceptors. Standard of care is limited to the use of the knowledge, skills, and techniques within the New Jersey Paramedic Student scope of practice in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and RWJBH MH policies.

Qualifications : Required :

• Current RWJBH NJ Paramedic Program Student
• All Paramedic program corequisites completed
• Current NJ EMT certification
• Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
• Current American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification
• Current American Heart BLS- Healthcare Provider (CPR) Certification
• NAEMT Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) Certification
• ICS 100, 200, 700, 800
• Hazmat Materials Awareness Certification
• Weapons of Mass Destruction or CBRNE Awareness Certification
