Job Title :  Construction Accountant

Location :  Pompano Beach, FL

Salary :  $85,000 / year

Industry :  Construction

Employment Type :  Full-Time

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and manage AIA billing and contract invoicing
  • Handle job cost accounting, including tracking labor, materials, and overhead
  • Process accounts payable and receivable
  • Reconcile bank statements, job cost reports, and general ledger accounts
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings
  • Collaborate with project managers to maintain accurate budget tracking and forecasting
  • Assist with subcontractor compliance, including lien waivers and insurance certificates

Qualifications :

  • 3+ years of accounting experience in the construction industry
  • Proficient with AIA billing
  • Experience using Sage 300 (Timberline) highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of job cost accounting principles
  • Familiarity with subcontractor financial workflows preferred; GC experience acceptable
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
