Summary :

The Registered Nurse in the Mother Baby Care unit is a skilled professional who practices independently and manages a variety of complex care situations. This role involves providing both routine and intricate care, establishing long-term goals, and continually enhancing the ability to navigate the challenges of clinical nursing. This nurse effectively delegates tasks to supporting care providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities :

• Meets expectations for the OneCHRISTUS Competencies : Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Delivers nursing care in alignment with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, utilizing a comprehensive nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families based on their unique circumstances.
• Administers medications and treatments per established protocols, monitoring for side effects and efficacy.
• Records patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assesses educational needs and provides effective teaching to patients, families, and caregivers, while identifying pertinent issues and resources.
