Job Title : Activity Aide

Location : Skilled Nursing Facility, Illinois

Job Summary : The Activity Aide assists in planning and implementing activities and programs designed to enhance the quality of life for residents in a skilled nursing facility. This role involves working closely with residents to encourage participation in activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities :

Assist in planning, organizing, and conducting recreational activities and programs for residents.

Encourage resident participation in activities and provide support as needed.

Adapt activities to meet the needs and abilities of individual residents.

Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress.

Assist in setting up and cleaning up activity areas and equipment.

Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a coordinated approach to resident care.

Provide feedback to the Activity Director on resident engagement and activity effectiveness.

Assist in the development of new activity programs based on resident interests and needs.

Ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures related to activities.

Promote a positive and engaging environment for residents.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or skilled nursing facility.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively with residents of varying abilities and backgrounds.

Creativity and enthusiasm for developing and leading activities.

Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Working Conditions :

Full-time or part-time position with potential for occasional overtime.
