In the online travel industry, with fast changing user behavior and the increasing role played by price comparison websites, offering the best price grants disproportionate gains. Travelers choose Agoda because they are confident that with us they can find the best hotels, at the best price. In this environment, success depends on optimizing prices to balance short-term margins with long-term growth, employing strategic approaches considering reactions from customers, hotels, competitors, and regulatory bodies. We are seeking a senior leader to craft Agoda’s global Pricing strategy and execute it, using tactics from price display to machine learning algorithms. The role involves close coordination with senior management, marketing, and product teams, while managing and expanding a team of pricing managers and analysts. What You Would Be Doing
Work with C-level executives and stakeholders to craft a global pricing strategy aligned with Agoda’s strategic priorities. Manage a multi-million dollar budget and provide visibility to internal stakeholders. Collaborate with the Product team to develop tools for executing and monitoring pricing actions and enhancing price display across channels. Coordinate with the Market Development team to gather benchmarking data and respond to market moves. Design and deploy pricing campaigns balancing short-term financial goals with strategic imperatives. Lead and expand a team of analysts and campaign managers, hiring new talent as needed. What You Need to Be Good At
Experience articulating strategic issues and negotiating with C-level executives; strategy consulting experience is a plus. Strong analytical skills and love for data. Ability to foster cross-team and cross-national cooperation. Proven people management skills, including hiring and developing talent. P&L management experience. Entrepreneurial spirit and a get-things-done attitude. Exposure to IT and Product Development.
