Telesales Account Executive

The Telesales Account Executive recommends MSC products, services and solutions via telephone with established and prospective customers, utilizing a consultative selling approach. Must meet all predetermined activity and sales goals.

Duties and responsibilities include :

  • Recommending MSC products, services and solutions via telephone with established and prospective customers, utilizing a consultative selling approach.
  • Growing sales to achieve department and corporate sales goals by developing existing accounts and penetration of newly assigned customers.
  • Identifying opportunities and making product recommendations for customer-specific operational and technical needs.
  • Building excellent customer relations.
  • Demonstrating teamwork to ensure achievement of team, individual, and corporate sales goals.
  • Maintaining sales records and generating relevant market / sales reports for MSC management as needed.
  • Monitoring expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budgetary constraints.
  • Developing a personal business plan under close management supervision to meet personal annual goals.
  • Demonstrating fundamental sales techniques and experience through track record of achieving sales goal.
  • Learning and fostering the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC's mission.
  • Participating in special projects and performing additional duties as required.

Education and experience requirements include :

  • A high school diploma or the equivalent is required.
  • 2+ years sales experience is required.
  • Metalworking / MRO product and / or process experience preferred.
  • Skills required include :

  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Other requirements include :

  • The ability to travel is required.
  • This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (ITAR) and / or Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
  • Compensation including commission starting at $25- $36 / hour dependent on candidate location and experience.
