We are hiring a Medical Director to oversee a post-acute care practice in the Greenville, NC area. This role blends direct patient care with leadership responsibilities and offers the opportunity to influence quality outcomes across skilled nursing facilities in the region.
Position Details :
Location : Greenville, NC
Setting : Skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), post-acute and long-term care
Schedule : Flexible Monday through Friday, full-time
No primary night call
Leadership + Clinical oversight + Direct patient care
Key Responsibilities :
Lead clinical quality initiatives and participate in care coordination strategies
Conduct clinical case reviews and support quality care delivery across partner facilities
Provide mentorship, guidance, and oversight to a team of advanced practice clinicians
Collaborate with pharmacists, facility leaders, and interdisciplinary care teams
Represent the organization within the post-acute care community and healthcare networks
Ensure timely documentation, EMR use, and evidence-based decision-making
Drive improved outcomes, reduced readmissions, and enhanced patient satisfaction
Qualifications :
MD or DO with board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
Active North Carolina medical license (or ability to obtain)
Previous experience as a Medical Director in a skilled nursing facility preferred
Experience in geriatrics, post-acute care, hospital medicine, hospice, palliative, or home health a plus
