Great Opportunity with Movement for Life at one of their North Asheville, NC Area clinics. \nAwarded Private Practice of the Year by APTA.\nwww.movementforilfe.com\nSummary / Objective : The physical therapist implements patient rehabilitation programs to help improve patient mobility, function, and strength.\nEssential Functions : Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\n\nHold license as a Physical Therapist in the state in which you intend to work\nMaintain and update PT skills and certifications as necessary\nEvaluate and treat patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs\nUtilize Electronic Medical Record to complete evaluations, reports and discharge summaries forpatient files\nGuide & monitor patient care in all aspects of treatment and follow-up\nSupervise PT Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patient care\nCommunicate with physicians and other persons to insure quality patient care\nCorrespond with co-workers & other offices via phone, fax & email\nBe responsible for accurate patient chart documentation & follow-up re : prescriptions, testresults, authorizations etc.\nMake sure patients are comfortable and answer questions when necessary.\nWork closely with the front office staff regarding scheduling and patient follow up.\nHave computer skills necessary to complete job requirements i.e. typing, Word, Internet, EMR, etc.\nBe able to make independent decisions regarding patient care\nBe involved in the business marketing & referral process when necessary\nBe responsible for following HIPAA policy & procedure\nBe familiar with PT billing policy & procedure re : Medicare work-comp, private, auto, liens,cash pay etc.\nBe proficient in DX and ICD-10 coding for the billing of services\nBe able to be physical mobile, including a combination of stool sitting, walking, and prolonged standingfor 8-10 hour work days, based on patient care schedule.\nBe able to lift 50 pounds and assist moving patients with mobility restraints, assist patientswith transferring, and providing stand by assistance and recovery with patientwalking safety.\n\nSupervisory Responsibility : This position supervises PT Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patient care.\nWork Environment : \nThis position works in the patient physical therapy clinic an outpatient / rehabilitation setting.\nJob Responsibilities Related to Patient Privacy : \n Expected to protect the privacy of all patient information in accordance with the Companys privacypolicies, procedures, and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with general principles of professionalism as a health careprovider. Failure to comply with the Companys policies and procedures on patient privacy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.\n May access protected health information and other patient information only to the extent that is necessary to complete job duties. May only share such information with thosewho have a need to know specific patient information in order to complete job responsibilities related to treatment, payment or other Company operations.\n Encouraged and expected to report, without the threat of retaliation, any concerns regarding the Companys policies and procedures on patient privacy and any observed practicesin violation of that policy to the designated Privacy Officer.\n Expected to actively participate in Company privacy training.\n Required to communicate privacy policy information to coworkers, students, patients and others in accordance with Company policy.\n Comply with OSHA, federal and state regulations.\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The position walks, sits, stands, bends, lifts and movescontinually during working hours. The position is subject to lifting objects weighing over 50 pounds, pushing wheel chairs, and transporting and supporting residents. The employee must be constantly alert for resident safety.\nTravel\nNo travel is expected for this position.\nRequired Education and Experience\nDegree in Physical Therapy.\nPreferred Education and Experience\nContinuing Education courses.\nAdditional Eligibility Qualifications\nMust hold active license or plan to test in the near future to hold license as a Physical Therapist in the state in which you intend to work.\n
Catalytic Solutions Job ID #4-292300. Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
