American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray for night shifts in a Level III Trauma Center requiring acute care and trauma experience in large facilities.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a hospital-based X-ray unit within a 375-bed Level III Trauma CenterPatient population includes adults requiring general X-rays, portables, OR cases, fluoro, and swallow studiesNight shift schedule : Wednesday 5 : 30 PM–6 : 00 AM, Saturday-Sunday 7 : 00 PM–7 : 30 AM with 12-hour shiftsStandby call required 2-3 times per month and every other holidayAverage daily caseload is up to 170 patientsX-ray department consists of 2 X-ray rooms and 1 fluoro roomUses EPIC EMR, Change Healthcare PACS, Siemens X-ray and fluoro equipment, portable Shimadzu, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis, and MedRad injectorMinimal floating; may perform portable X-rays as neededResponsibilities include performing general X-rays, portable imaging, OR cases, and assisting with trauma imaging during night shiftsSupport available from lead X-ray tech, respiratory therapy, hospitalist, and radiology teamOrientation period is approximately one week with additional time as neededFirst-time travelers will be considered if acute care trauma experience criteria are metFixed and repeating schedule with call and holiday expectations; approval for time off required through managementScrubs of any color may be worn with a professional appearance and no logos or designsFree parking available onsiteCOVID-19 vaccine required\n \n Requirements\n
Active ARRT certification requiredCurrent BLS certification requiredState license required if applicableAt least 1 year acute care experience in a large Level III or higher trauma facility requiredProficient in general X-ray, trauma, and operating room imaging proceduresExperience with fluoro and swallow studies preferred but not required for night shiftsFamiliarity with EMR systems, specifically EPIC, preferred\n Benefits\n
