Accountabilities : As a Structural Engineer in the Resilience Water team, you will play a key role in designing and implementing structural solutions for a wide range of infrastructure projects. These may include upgrades to water and wastewater treatment facilities, shoreline stabilization efforts, stormwater management systems, and resilient distribution / collection infrastructure.Key Responsibilities : Develop and evaluate structural design alternatives based on site conditions, project requirements, and regulatory constraints. Conduct structural assessments and perform engineering analyses to inform project planning and development. Prepare technical deliverables, including engineering calculations, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to produce innovative and sustainable designs in compliance with applicable codes and standards. Support project management by monitoring budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful execution. Participate in site visits, client meetings, and other project-related travel, as necessary.Key Skills & Experience : To succeed in this role, you should bring proficiency in structural design software, particularly STAAD Pro, along with practical experience using AutoCAD and Revit. A thorough understanding of relevant codes and standards-such as the International Building Code (IBC) and American Concrete Institute (ACI) guidelines-is essential. You will be expected to demonstrate your ability to prepare and review a wide range of engineering documentation, including technical drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and project schedules. Strong written and verbal communication skills are key, especially in the context of technical writing and documentation. You will thrive in this position if you excel in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and are passionate about sustainability and innovative design solutions.Qualifications & Experience : Required Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field 5 years of structural engineering design experience, preferably supporting water / wastewater infrastructure projectsPreferred Qualifications : Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline EIT certification or PE license strongly preferred
