Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist (Angiographer) with ARRT, BLS, and at least 1 year vascular or interventional experience for a high-acuity angiography lab assignment.
Responsibilities
Work in an angiography department specializing in vascular and interventional proceduresPatient population focuses on invasive, diagnostic, and interventional imaging casesTen-hour day shifts, four days per week with on-call responsibilitiesUse of advanced imaging and angiography equipment is requiredEpic EMR charting system is utilized and experience is expectedDuties include proper patient identification, order verification, and patient preparation for examsProduce quality images using correct exam techniques and operation of imaging equipmentResponsible for accurate completion of required documentation including image storageAssist as circulating tech, scrub tech, or monitoring tech per department protocolsApply closure devices, suture or remove sheaths, and provide hemostasis as neededRole involves frequent communication with care providers, patients, and visitors, especially during emergenciesMust be able to navigate crowded and equipment-dense environmentsRadiation safety principles must be consistently followedEpic charting experience is requiredRequirements
Active ARRT certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA requiredState of Utah Radiologic Technologist License required if applicableMinimum of one year experience in vascular or interventional radiologyHigh school diploma or GED requiredVascular / Interventional radiography certification or at least one year of angiography / interventional experience requiredManual dexterity to handle complex equipment, ability to lift and transfer patients, and physical ability to stand for extended periodsPersonal radiation monitoring badge (dosimeter) is required for this assignmentBenefits
