Computer Aided Design Engineer

Design Engineer Location : Cupertino, CA 95014 (Onsite Role)Pay Rate : $72.50 / hr on W2 This contract role is for a Product Design Engineer who will contribute to the design and development of client products, specifically parts and cables. The engineer will use NX CAD software to create 2D and 3D models, collaborate with vendors on Design for Manufacturability (DFM), review technical drawings and data, and use tools like Instron to test and validate designs. They will need a strong understanding of mechanics, materials, manufacturing, and electrical fundamentals, as well as the ability to work quickly and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesDesign next generation parts / cables Driving the vendor to converge on approved DFM for our parts / cablesReviewing drawings and data as neededProviding recommendations for design improvements and iterating on the design quickly & collaboratively.Minimum QualificationsBSME with at least 3 years of product design experience (preferably working experience in consumer electronics)Fluent in using NX 2D / 3D Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with passion for creating cutting edge products.Preferred QualificationsDemonstrated experience in working collaboratively with cross-functional teamsExcellent written / verbal communication skillsGood grasp on electrical fundamentals
