Great opportunity to work as a Group Therapist in a substance use disorder treatment setting. Currently seeking qualified candidates for our Madison Heights location. Monday-Friday - 8am-4 : 30pm

About the Role :

The Group Therapist plays a crucial role in facilitating therapeutic group sessions aimed at promoting mental health and emotional well-being among participants. This position involves creating a safe and supportive environment where individuals can share their experiences, learn from one another, and develop coping strategies. The Group Therapist will assess the needs of group members and tailor sessions to address specific issues, fostering personal growth and healing. Additionally, the therapist will monitor group dynamics and intervene as necessary to ensure a constructive and respectful atmosphere. Ultimately, the goal is to empower individuals to improve their mental health and enhance their interpersonal skills through shared experiences and professional guidance.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
• Valid state licensure as a therapist or counselor if Master's level
• Experience in group therapy or related therapeutic settings (willing to train candidates).
• CADC, CADDC or MCBAP Development Plan required (PNLH will assist in thecoordination of obtaining MCBAP Development Plan / Certifications).
• Minimum two years’ experience in substance abuse counseling preferred.
• PNLH prefers candidates with training in, and experience with, providing trauma-related services.
