Position Summary

Jenkins Plumbing Company is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Associate with proven experience in the construction and plumbing industry . The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of subcontractor pay processes, thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment , and consistently demonstrate accuracy, professionalism, and exceptional attention to detail. This role plays a key part in supporting our accounting operations by ensuring timely and precise processing of invoices, subcontractor payments, and vendor records.

Key Responsibilities

• Process high-volume vendor and subcontractor invoices with accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage subcontractor pay applications , including reviewing lien waivers, insurance certificates, compliance documentation, and contract terms.
• Verify invoice coding, approvals, job numbers, purchase orders, and proper cost allocations.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare weekly check runs, ACH payments, and credit card reconciliations.
• Maintain organized AP files, digital documentation, and vendor records.
• Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, project managers, and internal teams to resolve invoice or payment issues.
• Assist with month-end responsibilities, including AP aging reviews and accruals.
• Ensure all AP processes comply with company policies and industry standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and special accounting projects as needed.
