Job Title : Business Development Manager - NETA Electrical Testing

Compensation : $65,000 - $165,000 base + uncapped commission (1% of net sales annually)

About the Opportunity

Are you ready to lead growth in a specialized segment of the electrical services industry? Our client is expanding their NETA-certified testing division and is looking for a skilled Business Development Manager to drive new revenue, shape go-to-market strategy, and deepen industry relationships.

This role is ideal for someone with both technical awareness of electrical systems and a strong business mindset. You'll be the bridge between customers' complex power needs and a field-tested service offering known for reliability and compliance.

What You'll Do

Drive Sales Growth - Spearhead the expansion of NETA-certified testing services through strategic outreach and consultative selling.

Cultivate Relationships - Identify new business leads, develop customer accounts, and maintain long-term partnerships with key stakeholders.

Understand the Market - Analyze industry trends, customer demands, and competitor activity to spot opportunities and inform tactics.

Deliver Solutions - Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and marketing teams to craft and propose client-specific service packages.

Lead with Insight - Present proposals, lead bid efforts, and negotiate contracts that deliver value to both the client and the company.

Show Up Strategically - Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to boost visibility and network with decision-makers.

Track and Report - Use CRM tools (NetSuite) to maintain pipeline visibility, monitor performance, and support sales forecasting.

Industry Experience : Familiarity with electrical power systems and NETA testing protocols is highly preferred.

Client-Facing Skills : Strong communication and presentation abilities; comfortable leading conversations with engineers, project managers, and executives.

Tech-Savvy : Fluent in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and business productivity platforms.

Time Management : Skilled at balancing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and staying focused in a fast-paced environment.

Education : Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred.

Travel Readiness : Willing to travel approximately 25% of the time for client meetings and events.
