We are a hybrid company with a focus on in-person collaboration when necessary. Employees are expected to be available to work from one of our office hubs at least two days per week, or eight days per month. Our US hub locations include : Austin, TX; New York City, NY; San Francisco, CA; and the Arlington, VA metro area. Please ensure you can realistically commit to this structure before applying.

What You’ll Do

• Build the Solutions Engineering team from the ground up. Define team structure and hiring profiles.
• Create demo standards, playbooks, and reusable technical templates to streamline pre-sales engagement.
• Embed SEs into strategic enterprise deals to drive discovery, demo execution, and technical win rates.
• Reduce evaluation timelines and accelerate enterprise deployment velocity across high-stakes deals.
• Partner cross-functionally to ensure platform readiness, data security, and smooth customer onboarding.
• Represent the technical voice of the field in GTM leadership forums and roadmap discussions.
• Build strong relationships with customer CTOs, CIOs, and InfoSec leaders to support trust and solution alignment.

At BetterUp, we compensate our employees fairly for their work. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education / training, residence location, as well as market indicators. The range below is representative of base salary only and does not include equity, sales bonus plans (when applicable) and benefits. This range may be modified in the future.

The base salary range for this role is as follows :

$233,000-320,100 : New York City and San Francisco

$202,000-278,300 : All other locations
