Position : Release Manager
Location : Remote, near a USDA facility
Summary : ASRC Federal Highland Technology is seeking a Release Manager to join a team supporting the Lean flow of Epics and features by providing release strategy, planning and execution in a large program as part of an Agile Release Train (ART). We are delivering solutions for enterprise class web applications for a federal agency client. This position corresponds to a blend of both the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFeÒ) “Product Manager” role, and “Release Manager”, for most duties.
Responsibilities :
- Developing and managing the release strategy, roadmaps, planning and execution for complex enterprise web applications and integrated systems for an Agile Release Train comprised of 18 agile software development teams
- Managing the end-to-end release lifecyle and helping the Agile Release Train to maintain a predictable cadence of deployments and releases of high-quality software through a CI / CD pipeline that meets our stakeholder and end-user needs
- Facilitating and leading enterprise and / or product-level release strategy and planning working sessions on behalf of the Agile Release Train
- Collaborating with business and IT stakeholders, product managers, architects, product owners, scrum masters, developers, quality assurance, security leads and operations team
- Developing and executing a release capabilities roadmap to optimize, mature and automate the release cycle and quality of software products
- Enabling the Agile Release Train to improve its development, deployment and release practices by collaborating with leadership and teams on iterative change management plans
- Communicating with internal and external stakeholders and teams on release capabilities, strategy, plans, risks and execution
- Collaborating with the Solution Trian and other Agile Release Trains on release dependencies, plans, risks and execution
- Monitoring and managing software versions across different release phases and environments to assist shared service vendors with pipeline quality assurance
- Anticipating, identifying, assessing and mitigating impacts and risks to stakeholders, end-users software quality and release predictability
- Track, monitor and report on progress of release milestones and all quality gates and communicate across all stakeholders, Agile Release Trains, teams and shared service vendors

Education and Experience :
Bachelor's degree - Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering
5+ years of experience managing large, custom enterprise software systems, configurations and test data across multiple environments in a complex environment
