Position Overview and Qualifications
We are looking for a dedicated Operating Room Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) who will be accountable to the Nursing Director for managing clinical and operational functions of the assigned unit. In the absence of the Director, you will oversee the unit’s activities and be part of a committed team striving to deliver exceptional care.
In this position, you will :
Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and efficient coordination of departmental functions during your shift.Lead and evaluate nursing care in line with established policies, assisting staff and exemplifying the organization's values.Direct and monitor patient care, ensuring safe and effective clinical practices.Facilitate staff education and development to meet unit needs.Engage in patient care conferences to identify discharge requirements.Coordinate patient assignments based on acuity and skill set of the staff.Keep track of patient condition changes and make necessary clinical decisions.Ensure timely execution of medical orders and protocols.Job Requirements :
Active Florida RN license (or multistate RN license) is required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain Florida licensure after relocating.BLS certification from an AHA-approved provider to be obtained within 30 days of starting.Preferred : 2 years of acute care RN experience.NIH Stroke Scale certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment start.Bachelor's Degree, Registered Nurse Diploma or Associate Degree required.ACLS certification or ACLS Instructor certification must be acquired within 6 months of employment.PALS certification or PALS Instructor certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment.Neonate Resuscitation certification is required within 30 days of starting.HCA Florida Osceola Hospital is a 404-bed accredited tertiary care facility and a Level II Trauma Center, conveniently located in Kissimmee, near Orlando.
