Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with strong liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant experience for a day shift position in Florida.
Responsibilities
Work in the Operating Room of a short-term acute care, teaching hospitalFocus on liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures, including organ implantationProficiency in using Misonix / CUSA equipment is requiredDay shifts are 6 : 45 am to 5 : 15 pm, four days per weekOn-call required : one shift per week and two 12-hour weekend shifts per monthEpic EMR system is usedFloating within scope to meet facility needs is requiredLocals are accepted at the same rateEngage in highly specialized transplant surgeries, handling both organ placement and other procedures as neededMust pass EKG and Pharmacology tests during orientation with up to two attempts; failure will result in cancellationRequired to complete time-sensitive online modules promptly once confirmed for assignmentFacility is strictly nicotine free; all travelers must be nicotine free with no exceptionsScrub color is ceil blueParking is free in any unrestricted spaceFirst-time travelers are acceptedAll requested time off must be submitted up front for approvalRequirements
Active FL or Compact RN license (may be pending at time of consideration)Minimum 2 years of direct Operating Room RN experience with liver and transplant casesCurrent ACLS and BLS certifications required at time of considerationNIHSS certification must be obtained prior to startProven experience with liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures including organ implantationProficiency with Misonix / CUSA equipmentNegative 10-panel and nicotine (cotinine) drug screen required within 12 months of startTwo references from direct supervisors or managers requiredNo prior permanent or per diem employment at the facility within the last yearBenefits
